As empty nesters, we suddenly find ourselves at a crossroads, with more options than we ever imagined: downsizing, staying put, renovating, rightsizing, buying a second home, or even exploring multi-generational living.

I understand this stage of life not just professionally, but personally. My husband and I sold our home and spent two years renting before we landed on what truly made sense for us. We considered everything — family, friendships, lifestyle, careers, and what we wanted the next 10+ years to look like. There wasn’t a simple or quick answer, but giving ourselves the space to reflect made all the difference.
One of the most meaningful parts of this journey for me has been being part of the Empty Nesters at Compass community.
